Rehane Abrahams is an award-winning performer and theatre-maker. She is currently performing in Amee Lekas’ debut production, Die Dans van die Watermeid, at the Baxter Theatre. As a performer, her work has successfully spanned a multitude of genres and mediums. Emma was last seen onstage in Louis Viljoen’s Oh Baby, I’m a Wild One while Sarah captivated audiences in Philip Rademeyer’s The Graveyard and reprises her role as “Girl” in The Edge of The Light.

A Conversation with Magdalene Minnaar

Magdalene Minnaar is one of those people who makes you question when she has time to sleep. She is the founder of Little Maestros and Biblioteek Productions, where she also serves as Artistic Director. She is an accomplished actress and singer, having performed the coveted role of Christine Daaé in the international touring production of The Phantom of The Opera as well as performing alongside Josh Groban during his tour to South Africa last year. A Conversation with Nwabisa Plaatjie

Theatremaker, actor and director Nwabisa Plaatjie was recently named as the recipient of Theatre Arts Admin Collective’s Emerging Theatre Director’s Bursary as well as the first recipient of Baxter Theatre’s PlayLab residency program where she will produce her new play Inceba Yobomi/The Grace of Life. A Conversation with Tankiso Mamabolo

Tankiso Mamabolo is a recent graduate of UCT who has burst onto the scene. Before graduating she performed in Black Dog/injemnyama which had a successful run at the Baxter Theatre. Tankiso also co-created and starred in the critically acclaimed production of The Fall which went on to win an Encore Award at this year’s Fleur du Cap Awards and will be returning to the Baxter later this year. Following that, Tankiso will reprise her role in Ameera Conrad’s Reparation at the National Arts Festival followed by starring in the highly anticipated new South African musical Calling Me Home.
