Leanetse Seekoe is a performer and theatre-maker. Upon graduating from UCT’s Drama department in 2014, Leanetse was nominated for a Fleur du Cap award in the Most Promising Student category. Recently, Leanetse wrote 4 cups 1 tbsp while she pursued her Masters of Arts in English and Comparative Literature. In 2017, she performed her debut one woman play, 4 cups 1 tbsp at The Market Theatre Laboratory and The Plat4orm in Johannesburg, and Theatre Arts Admin Collective in Cape Town. Continue reading
Mamela Nyamza is an internationally renowned choreographer, dance artist, activist and Standard Bank Young Artist winner. After a successful run in The Netherlands, her carefully curated double bill, Rock to the Core and De-Apart-Hate arrives at the Baxter Theatre for a limited engagement before jetting off to be performed in Germany.
Lady Skollie, born Laura Windvogel, is the real deal. An intensely feminist artist, her work explores and confronts issues such as gender, sex, consent and human engagement, to name a few. She has been described as a socially conscious artist, putting each piece of her work out into the world with intent and careful consideration. She boldly and unapologetically uses the platform she has created to defy taboos whether it be on her podcast Kiss and Tell, through her work and even through her social media.
